Today it was as if I had an epiphany. I returned back to school today from a week's break and although it was a horrible mess outside, I felt great.
Although I dread Tuesdays and Thursdays because I have classes 11a-5:45p, today was different. I felt refreshed, rejuvenated; almost as if I could conquer the world. I was alert in class, I was participating and I was highly interested in what was being said during the lectures. For some reason I really felt as if I learned something new today; however, it was something that I knew all along.
Today I learned that if I want my dreams to come true, nobody is going to hold my hand along the way. I was always passionate about school and furthering my education, but today the word passionate actually meant something. I realized how I've allowed my dreams to become nothing other than reality on my own with the help of my intelligence and God given strength, and that passion I have to succeed has just become stronger.
Just know this: there's a huge difference between watching and learning; knowing and assuming; and participating and being on the sideline. Life is not a spectator activity, you have to actually learn, grow, engage, and do certain things and set certain goals to become successful in what ever it is you want to achieve.
I've learned the hard way, you can rely on the GPS to get you where you want to go, but it can only recalculate so many times.
