Review of the Curl Products I Use

To begin, I must say choosing a styling line and not switching copiously or mixing different ones helps a ton. I chose to go with ORS Curls Unleashed line and it did help a ton with the Completely Natural Challenge I recently completed. I also use the the ORS oil sheen, edge control, and moisturizer because all ORS products contain natural ingredients like olive oil to help repair your hair. 

Everyday:

1. Organic Root Stimulator Oil Moisturizing Hair Lotion: This moisturizing lotion in my eyes is the hero of all moisturizers. Filled with olive oil, the moisturizer not only conditions, but it helps to protect your hair from high amounts of heat. I use this moisturizer right before I apply any heat to my hair. With doing so, it leaves a great shine to my hair and moisturizes and repairs breakage and dead ends.

2. Organic Root Stimulator Sheen Spray: This spray adds a healthy shine to my hair on humid days. However, if I use too much, it does leave an oily residue on my hands so I try to limit the usage of the oil sheen to when I really need it; usually I only need it on my ends after I style.

3. Organic Root Stimulator Edge Control: The edge control is great! As all of the other products, the main ingredient is olive oil and is great for repairing edges and baby-hairs, as I call them. I use this when my hair is straight and when it's curly. It's 100x better than gel or hairspray and leave no flakes or hardness. 

For Curls:

1. Curls Unleashed ORS Sulfate-Free Shampoo: This shampoo is sulfate free and it moisturizes, detangles, and defines your curls. Usually with shampoos, I would have to lavish at least twice to get the actual bubbly effect, but with this shampoo I only apply a reasonable amount once and it bubbles right away. While lavishing, you can tell that this shampoo is not stripping your hair of it's natural oils. After rinsing, I can also tell that my curls are more defined and natural than if I used another type of shampoo. Best shampoo I've used so far.

2. Curls Unleashed ORS Moisturizing Conditioner: This conditioner is also a deep conditioner. It immediately detangles and refreshes my curls leaving a smooth feel from my roots to ends. After applying the conditioner, I take a wide tooth comb to evenly distribute the conditioner through out my hair, then place a shower cap over my head and let it be for about 3-5 minutes. When you go to rinse you can feel the conditioner rinsing out, but also feeling it leave behind the smooth and shine. I don't even need to comb my hair again after rinsing because it's already completely detangled. 

May I add that not one of these products have a tacky, strong, or fruity smell to them. They all smell natural and the consistency is great. There are more products to the ORS Curls Unleashed line but these are the four that I prefer. If you want to check out the rest of the products, they are available at any CVS, Rite Aid, Wal-Mart, or Walgreens. Not all stores carry the complete line; you might have to visit a couple stores to purchase what you are looking for. (Price does vary by a dollar or so depending on where you purchase the products)

3. Curls Unleashed ORS Leave-In Conditioner: The only thing about this leave-in conditioner is before application, your hair has to be damp in order for it to work. Now, that's not too much of a problem after receiving the great results. Soon as I apply the leave-in conditioner, my hair immediately detangles. I could wrap it up in a fan and this leave-in conditioner would get it out. It works miracles especially on the days you decide you want a messy bun or any other tangling style. Other than detangling, the leave-in conditioner also conditions and helps moisturize dead ends and dry hair, and really defines your curls after drying occurs.

4. Curls Unleashed ORS Curl Refresher: This product is like a second chance, second day, I don't feel like re-doing my curls today type thing. You just have to damp you hair then apply and it refreshes your curls with really no effort at all. The consistency is really great, therefore you don't need to use a lot at one time. As your pouring it into your hands, you may feel as if the curl refresher plays the role of some sort of gel or curl holder, but it doesn't. There is no sticky residue on your hair or hands and when your curls dry, they are fuller and shinier. 

Advice before Purchase:

Before purchase I highly recommend doing your research on all the products. There are reviews like this one on blogs, youtube, or even the ORS official website. Not everyone's hair is the same; therefore, not all results will be the same as the reviews you read or watch. As I mentioned, I chose to only use these four items in the Curls Unleashed line because of the way the other items change the texture of my hair, smell, or feel. However, this is just my opinion and you may feel a different way or even like the results the other products produce.
